League Rules & Regulations

1.

All league members will tee off from the Red tee markers each week

2.

The official rules of golf will be followed in our league except as noted below. Winter rules apply

3.

you may improve your fairway lie within a club length on same type of grass, but not closer to the green. For questionable rulings on the course play two balls and refer to pro shop staff for the correct ruling

4.

We play Ready Golf. If you are ready and an away player is not, you hit / putt (if it’s safe). Park your cart on the cart path beside the green, NOT in front of the green.

5.

Pick up after 10 shots on a hole (maximum of 3 putts) and mark down 10 for that hole. (This rule has caused much confusion in the past …. You can take a maximum of 10 on the hole. If you are sitting on the green in 8 shots and 2 putt, that is 10 with 2 putts for the hole. If you are sitting on the green in 5 shots but 3 putt, then you get an 8 with 3 putts. BUT if you are sitting on the fairway in 9 shots and hit another shot for your 10th shot of the hole and reach the green, you will pick up and receive a 10 on the hole with 3 putts instead of putting.) Also, if you get on the green and then 3 putt and miss your last putt, you still pick up your ball and your putts = 3 and your score = whatever it took to get on the green + 3 putts. You will never record more than a 3 for putts.

6.

One mulligan per round on drive only. You must take your mulligan shot (you do not have a choice of which ball to play)

7.

You record a Dot for every drive that is on the fairway – you must get on the green on your drive to get a Dot on the Par 3s

8.

No gimmies – You must putt thru

9.

Whiffs are not a stroke

10.

Club cannot be grounded before you hit from a sand trap 2 of 2

11.

You may drop for a stroke penalty after two unsuccessful shots to exit a trap. Drop to either side but not ahead of the trap.

12.

You may improve your lie in the rough within a club length, not closer to the hole. You may place rather than drop your ball. Club length must be same type of ground – fairway to fairway, rough to rough

13.

If ball lands on cart path, that is a free move back to grass no more than 2 club lengths and never closer to the pin. You should not be standing on cart path to take your next shot.

14.

Players responsible for recording their dots and putts on scorecards. There will be 1 card per team of 2 or 3.

15.

Players are responsible for posting dots and putts on board, as well as hole score on Best Game board, both located in Event Center

16.

At end of round, turn scorecards in to Paula Fulton in Event Center (or Mulligan’s depending on the week)

17.

Putt pot: 25 cents for 3 putts (Money to be used at year-end luncheon)

18.

Weekly proxy winners (2) will be announced via email.

19.

Pairings will be drawn the day before play. An email will go out from Paula every Tuesday. If you are unable to play, please notify Paula (via email, text, phone) by Monday or Sunday (preferred)! Very important.

20.

If you need to cancel the day of league, please call or text Paula Fulton (520) 425-5807.

21.

If you are in jeopardy of not playing 10 of the 12 weeks, you can schedule a make-up round by calling the Golf Shop. You must play with another league member. If you miss the Front 9, you must schedule your make-up on the Front 9. If you miss the Back 9, you must schedule your make-up on the Back 9 and those tee times will at the Pro shop’s discretion (3 PM or after). Post dots, putts and hole score on boards to reflect date(s) missed and turn scorecard(s) in to Paula the next week. Don’t wait until the end to do your make up rounds!

22.

Weather cancellations – Decision will be made by the Golf Shop one hour prior to start times and communicated to Paula, who will then notify all league members via email. Alternative dates for weather cancellations will be determined as necessary.

NOTE: This is a non-cumulative league – meaning we will not have handicaps. We want to strive to be a fun, easy going league.
